When does a seabreeze typically occur?

A seabreeze typically occurs during the day when the land heats up more rapidly than the water. As the sun rises higher in the sky, land temperatures increase, causing the air above it to warm and rise. This creates an area of lower pressure over the land compared to the relatively cooler air above the water, which retains its temperature longer. As the warmer air rises, cooler air from over the water moves in to replace it, resulting in a breeze that flows from the sea to the land.

This phenomenon is most pronounced in coastal areas on sunny days, as the temperature difference between the land and the sea reaches its peak. In contrast, during the evening, at night, or at sunset, the land begins to cool, which can lead to a reversal of this effect, ultimately resulting in a land breeze instead of a seabreeze.
